So that money help is never a matter of who can afford it

The Steady Ground Fund

Some of the people who most need a financial counselor are the ones who can least afford one. The Steady Ground Fund covers their work with me — quietly, with no application essay and no proving of hardship. You give; someone else gets a seat at the table.

Sponsor someone

Everyone deserves the chance to learn how to fish for themselves.

This fund reaches people in shelters, in low-income and underserved communities, and young adults aging out of the foster care system — people who were never taught financial literacy because nobody around them was ever taught it either. It was never a matter of effort or intelligence. They simply never had access to the knowledge. Your sponsorship gives them that access: the skills, the language, and the confidence to handle money for the rest of their lives.

No application, no proving of hardship

They are referred quietly, given a code, and they book. Nobody has to tell their story twice to be considered worthy of help.

Enough time for the pattern to change

One session steadies a crisis. A whole season teaches the skills — budgeting, credit, saving, and the beliefs underneath them — that keep someone out of the next one.

The library goes with them

A full year of every worksheet, lesson, and assessment stays theirs, long after the last conversation with me.

You will hear what your gift did

Client transformation stories — real accounts of what changed for the people you sponsored, shared with their permission. Named or fully anonymous — your choice.

How many people would you like to sponsor?

Or give any amount

Every gift goes to the same place: counseling for people who cannot pay, the everyday running of this practice, and expanding the team to help more people.

Thank you — every gift counts, small or large.

$7,800

A Full Year of Open Access — open calendar access for 12 months, plus a year in the resource library, for 1 person.

A thank-you lands in your inbox right away, and now and then a client transformation story your gift made possible. Within a week, someone is booking their first session.

My promise to you

Where your gift actually goes.

  • Every dollar goes to counseling hours for someone who cannot pay — never to overhead.
  • Recipients are referred through shelters, hospital social workers, and my own waitlist.
  • Nobody is asked to tell their story twice to qualify.
  • Supporters hear client transformation stories — the real change their giving made possible.

The Steady Ground Fund is part of my private practice, not a registered 501(c)(3). Gifts are not tax-deductible — they are simply passed straight through to counseling hours for people who cannot pay.
